Forming Hearts and Minds for Christ
A classical, Christ-centred, and collaborative education rooted in truth, goodness, and beauty.
About Us
At Nicene Classical Academy, we believe education is more than academics—it shapes the whole person. Guided by a biblical worldview, we unite faith and learning, equipping students to see every subject as a reflection of God’s wisdom and design. Through classical pedagogy and a unique partnership between home and school, we cultivate a love of learning, train students to think and speak with clarity, and foster virtuous character that endures for a lifetime.
Partnership & Excellence
Nicene Classical Academy (K—Gr 12) partners with parents to form tomorrow’s leaders and thinkers through our classical, Christ-centred and collaborative education. Christ-Centred
We see faith and academics as inseparable. Our vision? That students see the reality of history, science, and the arts through a biblical lens, as expressions of God’s truth and goodness. We seek to foster in our students a deep love for learning as an act of worship, pointing them to Christ as the ultimate source of knowledge and virtue.
Classical
We empower our students with tools for lifelong learning. We use time-tested classical methods, including the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), to equip students to reason wisely and speak eloquently. Through the study of logic, students obtain the ability to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and form sound conclusions. By immersing them in a feast of living books and the Great Conversation, we inspire a genuine curiosity and a lifelong delight in learning.

Collaborative
We see education as a shared journey between home and school. Our education model—combining structured community days with at-home learning—is designed to strengthen the family unit and empower parents as crucial partners in their children’s formation. Our vision is to create a vibrant community where families and educators work together to nurture whole-person development of students who are academically strong and virtuous in character.
Begin with the end in mind… Portrait of a Nicene Classical Academy Graduate
We aim to equip students to flourish throughout life by nurturing character that empowers them to be wise, productive, and thoughtful community members.
Loves God Supremely
In obedience to Christ’s declaration of the greatest commandment, the graduate loves God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). They know the God of the Old and New Testament personally—as Savior, Redeemer, and King—and treasures Him above all else. Their chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever, shaping all aspects of life.
Rightly Ordered Affections
In pursuit of rightly ordered affections, the graduate pursues the theological virtues—faith, hope, and love—along with the cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. These seven virtues, rooted in classical philosophy and fulfilled in Christ, form the foundation of a life marked by humility, honesty, integrity, and steadfast righteousness.
Reasons Wisely, Speaks Eloquently
Equipped with a strong foundation in formal logic and rhetoric, graduates excel at building and articulating compelling arguments marked by clarity, humility, and grace. Their intellect, grounded in truth, is shaped by the scriptures and profoundly enriched by classical thought so they can bear witness to Christ and strengthen others in love.
Loves His Neighbour Sacrificially
In keeping with the second great commandment, the graduate seeks to love others as himself (Mark 12:31). Rooted in the love of Christ, they endeavor to obey the biblical call to serve and forgive.
Loves Learning as an Act of Worship
Formed by the classical tradition and broadly familiar with the great works of civilization and the church, the graduate delights in learning. They see the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge as a way to love God with the mind and respond in wonder to His creation.
Faithfully Serves Church and Community
God-given gifts are used to strengthen the body of Christ, to participate in the Great Commission, and to serve all in love and truth.
Possesses the Tools of Lifelong Learning
Trained in the classical liberal arts, graduates are equipped with the foundational tools of learning—grammar, logic, and rhetoric. With these tools, they are prepared to pursue any vocation or field of study with confidence, curiosity, and humility.
